The way you speak to yourself inside of your head has determined the paths that you have chosen to lead you to where you are today. Everybody has different things that they tell themselves when faced with difficult decisions. Remembering what those smart things are that you say to yourself so you can share them with your kids can be hard to do.

Just realizing that you have smart things to say to your kids does help them out any. You need to actually communicate your wisdom with them. To do this, set up a specific time every day that you can share your knowledge with your children.

One of the best times to share your wisdom with your children is at the dinner table. They are in a captured environment and are forced to listen to your stories. They also have time to contemplate what you are saying.

This deadline that you have created will be what will drive you to come up with some of the secrets of life that have helped you in your life. Without the pressure and committing to sharing your knowledge at a specific time, you will be less likely to think of all those smart words of wisdom that have helped you out in your life.

Share these tid-bits with your kids:

- If you are about ready to say something bad about someone, act like they are right beside you.

- The Law will catch you if you break it. Someday, someway, someone will find out and you will go to jail.

- A mistake you made can be one of your greatest experiences just as long as the mistake taught you a better way to do something.

Words of wisdom do not have to be profound or made with great elegance to stick. The fact that you are sharing a belief with your child is what makes them listen and take what you say to heart. You are not telling them to pick up their clothes, you are not asking them a question about their day, you are not complaining about the neighbors, instead you are just giving a short jolt of knowledge about something in life.

Here is one little tid-bit of wisdom that you can share with your children that will help them become in high demand when they start to enter the work force and is a secret that will get them multitudes of repeat business.

ALWAYS GIVE THEM AN “ALSO”

One of the best ways to get repeat business is to do more then people ask. If your child is paid to pick cut grass, tell them to cut the grass then wiped down the mower and sweep out the shed when they are done. If they are hired to watch kids, tell them to watch the kids and do the dishes that are in the sink while they are there. They will be in high demand the rest of their life if they do this secret.
