Why is it that some organizations can flourish while others tend to never take off? What is the difference in why some companies have a way to consistently produce outstanding service while others simply get by? Is there a secret that these successful organizations have that allows them to perform at their best time and again?

There is one single factor that separates these special organizations from the pack. The factor that I am referring to is the people who make up the service team. They are referred to as the super service teams who clearly understand that the customer is the most important person in the building. What truly separates them from the typical service teams is their belief that the top priority in their business is taking care of the customer.

What separates these super teams from the rest is their belief that every service transaction is an opportunity to win the customer. Other companies may be able to match the product and price that they are offering. But what separates them from the competition is their strong focus on customer service. They truly believe that the service they provide will not be matched.

Similar to the quality of serving each other, super teams pick each other up and consistently bring out the best in others. When one person needs an encouraging word or assistance, another team member is there to lend a hand.

Have you ever known someone who truly enjoyed his or her job? More than likely it was due to the environment in which they worked. I have found that most people who enjoy going to work do so because of the people that they work with. Everyone tends to work toward a common cause and the feeling of harmony permeates throughout the whole organization.

Since the atmosphere is supportive and encouraging, we will naturally find a high level of respect among those who offer excellent customer service. Remember that the respect given to each customer is simply a result of the respect felt among each team member.

Another excellent quality that gives these super teams an edge is their continual focus on training. They understand the importance of wanting to improve. Whatever avenue that they may choose to use, everyone on the team understands that education is important. This desire to learn sets them apart from the competition.

Another excellent quality found in super customer service teams is the expertise they display in their chosen profession. They are true professionals on the job. Because of their knowledge, these super teams are quickly recognized by the customers as true experts.

Another quality found in super teams is their ability to overlook when mistakes are made. By allowing room for human errors that will occur from time to time, it gives everyone on the team the freedom from always feeling under pressure.

The final quality found in teams that consistently produce outstanding service is the belief in their ultimate mission. They never forget that serving others is why they exist.

These super teams outshine their competition by having a strong commitment to take care of their customers. This fact alone is the main reason that they consistently produce exceptional service to their customers.
