Comfort is never an issue until you don’t have it. With women, this of course means a discussion of bras. Frankly, most of us are incredibly uncomfortable. The following tips can cure that problem for you.

Does the center of your bra pull away from your chest? If so, you might be wearing a bra that is too small. This should not occur as it defeats the overall mechanical support system of the bra. Try going up one cup size.

When buying bras, take into account the time of the month. Depending on where you are in the month, your breasts may increase or decrease in size. Make sure you buy bras for each period of time to avoid problems with sizing issues.

The vast majority of women wear the wrong size bra. The biggest problem is fitting, but manufactures are to blame as well. Why? They don’t use a universal sizing system. As a result, don’t assume that a particular size for one brand will be the same with another brand.

Your back is bigger than you think it is. We are wider in the back because of the way muscles flair out. When trying on a bra, look at your back in a mirror to make sure you are not being squeezed excessively. It will help prevent back pain.

Take a seat. There are many little tests you can do to see if the bra you are wearing is fitted correctly. With this test, you literally take a seat. When doing so, the bra should not change position. It should not slide on your shoulder or up and down your back.

Fitting a bra can be a real challenge. If you do not entirely fill the cup of the bra, you should go down in size. You can still create the looks you want using different types of bras, but the support is a must.

Underwire bras are much discussed. If you have a B or smaller cup size, you generally do not need an underwire bra. If you have a size larger than this, you do. Some women love underwire bras and some do not. They are the best support bras around.

If you are participating in sports activity, there is only one bra for you. The sports bra is the answer. If you do not wear a sports bra, the up and down motion can destroy your breasts. A sports bra will give you the support you need.

It seems that more and more bras are coming with thin straps. While these look elegant, they can dig into your shoulders and cause problems. If you neck is sore or you have headaches, try a bra with thicker straps.

Certain bras come with a definite cost. Semi Cup bras are often favored by women because of the elegant and seductive look they can provide. The downside is they provide little support. They are good for occasional events, but not for daily use.

At the end of the day, the best bra for you is the one that fits well and provides you with support and comfort. Do not fall for suggestions that there is one brand or type that is best. It is all specific to the person in question.
